"O L-RD, Who are my power and my strength and my refuge in the day of trouble, to You nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, 'Only lies have our fathers handed down to us, emptiness in which there is nothing of any avail! Can a man make gods for himself, and they are no gods? 'Therefore, behold I let them know; at this time I will let them know My power and My might, and they shall know that My Name is the L-RD".
Jeremiah 16:19-21

Read The Fine Print …

I have been pondering this for a few days now and have decided to write on this issue.

Just the other day while standing in the checkout line in a local craft store I saw standing on the top of a shelf there by the register a Christian cross standing about a foot tall with the following verse from the Hebrew Scriptures on it, 2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people, upon whom My name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

This kind of stuff gets under my skin. They are so blind and full of theft it crawls all over me. They have eyes but do not see and brains have no understanding.

First, this passage is quoted a lot in Christianity but they do not see what the words of this verse are saying.

This particular day the verse was on the idolatrous Christian symbol of the cross. But if a Christian will read the verse they would see that there is no need for the cross because there is no mentioning of the need of a cross, death of a savior or use of blood to bring about forgiveness of sins.

Matter of fact the verse states that for the forgiveness of sin all one needs to do is, PRAY, SEEK G=D’S FACE, BE HUMBLE, TURN FROM EVIL WAYS – NO CROSS NEEDED FOR THIS

But then this verse was not written to or spoken to the Christian to begin with because they are not the people called by G-d’s Name and G-d did not give the Christians a land, he gave Israel a land and this is the land that will be healed by the above mentioned works of a repentant Jew not a Christian. – Israel, the Jewish people are the only ones called by G-d’s name. Christians are stealing this verse away from the Jews and are applying it to themselves. This is a form of theft.

If you are a Christian you need to read the fine print of this verse and read it in context of where it was written and to whom. It does not belong nor apply to you.
