"O L-RD, Who are my power and my strength and my refuge in the day of trouble, to You nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, 'Only lies have our fathers handed down to us, emptiness in which there is nothing of any avail! Can a man make gods for himself, and they are no gods? 'Therefore, behold I let them know; at this time I will let them know My power and My might, and they shall know that My Name is the L-RD".
Jeremiah 16:19-21
I am often heard saying, “I don’t get it, what don’t they understand”.

What am I refering to I hear you all say………to christianity of course!

I am 38 years of age and in my 38 years I still cannot contemplate how anybody in their right state of mind could possibly believe with their whole being the concept of christianity.  I suppose with-out questioning it, it could be possible?  The reality is many, no,  billions do without question.

To me, and I can only speak for myself, christians go by ‘blind faith’…questioning allows doubt, this is what a christian friend tells me. In conversation last week, a christian colleague at work, suddently out of nowhere starts speaking to me about the wonders of JC.  I stood there calmly listening, biting on my bottom lip trying ever so well not to but in.

Once she had finished her statement, I spoke plainly and simply, and said to her, “what difference  had the death of JC actually made in the world?.”  I went onto say that “He” in her eyes died for humanities sins. I then proceeded to ask her if man still sinned, and if the bad and wicked things man had done previously  in history (before JC) is still being done today.

She answered, “yes”.  She then stated that JC took away all the sins of the world.  I then asked her, “do people still sin?”, she said, “of course”, but as long as they ask for forgiveness.  I then asked her, “If JC died for your sins, then why are you continuing to ask for forgiveness if all your sins have been taken away from you?”.  There was no reply.

I then thought Ok, let me rock the boat even further, I asked her “you believe that man is born in original sin.  How can man since the death of JC be born in original sin, if JC died for all humanities sins”. Again there was no answer.

The point I am getting to is that christians, don’t know what they believe, their belief system is on based on forged lies, misunderstandings and a serious lack of any logical sense. As my husband put’s it, “there is a serious mental blockage”.

The majority of people in the world today assume or believe that JC was at the very least a real person. Perhaps he wasn’t really the “messiah”, perhaps he was not “the son of god”, and perhaps he didn’t actually perform miracles and rise from the dead, but he really was a  teacher who travelled around Galilee with followers and got arrested by the Jews and crucified by the Romans, right?……………Not Likely!!

In fact, a close examination of the evidence shows that the best explanation for the whole story of JC is what we call “mythology”. That there never was any ‘JC’ nor any meaningful real life basis for the story of JC.   ‘JC’ began as a theological concept, was later used as a character in allegorical stories, and was then historicised as someone whom people believed really existed. The belief in a literal “human” Jesus most likely emerged as eucharistical ritual and theology developed around the concept of the “flesh” and “blood” of christ and these concepts merged with allegorical narratives about the figure.

What is the basis for the claim that “Jesus never existed”?

Actually, there are many important facts that support this conclusion. First let’s look at an outline of some of the ‘simple’ points in this case:

  • The Gospel of Mark was the first story of Jesus that was written, and all others are dependent on it
  • The Gospel of Mark shows clear signs of being written as an allegorical fiction
  • Some of the details of the life of Jesus are based on mistranslations of the The Tanakh
  • Jesus’ crucifixion on defies historical believability
  • The Gospels make many claims that are contradicted by the historical record
  • The earliest writings about Jesus, from Paul and others, contain no details of his life
  • Many statements in the letters of Paul only make sense if Paul does not view JC as a historical person
  • There is not one single writing from or about Jesus during his supposed lifetime

None of these points are meant to stand on their own, but collectively they provide a very strong argument against the story of JC being based on a real person.

It is important to note that we have one, and only one, source of information about the life of JC and that is the Christian Gospels. The Gospels are the sole source of information about this figure; everything that we “know” about “him” depends on these sources.

There are two basic views of the biblical Jesus as a real person today, the religious Christian view and the secular historical view. The religious christian view takes the Gospels as accurate and reliable accounts of the life of JC, including all of the miracles. The religious Christian view demands that JC was a popular and well known figure in the region, who drew crowds of thousands of people and performed great miracles, who was such a revolutionary figure that the Jewish priesthood was compelled to have him arrested and put to death in dramatic fashion before hundreds or thousands of witnesses.

The secular historical view, which may also be held by some christians,  takes the Gospels as exaggerated accounts of the life of a real Jesus. The secular historical view basically starts with the Gospels and then removes the fantastic or “supernatural” claims in the Gospels and accepts what is left as history. The secular historical view tends to minimise the role of Jesus in the region, stating instead that he was barely noticed by others. Secular historians who believe that Jesus existed rely on the Gospels as essentially historical, but inflated, accounts of his life.

But are the Gospels reliable historical accounts?

Christianity funnily enough is not based on the beliefs of JC, but are ‘Pauline’ in belief belonging to Paul, aka Saul, Jew turned christian, the ‘first christian’ who never met JC, but the whole of the invention of christianity is based on his views and what he feels/thinks JC was mean’t to say, do or start.  If we were dependant on Paul alone for knoweldge of JC, we would know nothing at all about him, little more than he was a man named Jesus, died on the cross and according to his writings’ rose’ from the dead.  We would not know when or where JC lived.

This is because there never was a Gospel or story of JC as it is know today in Paul’s time, it’s funny how he had NO knowledge of circumstantial evidence, he knew nothing of a ‘virgin’ of ‘miraculous’ birth, these ‘facts’ are ommitted because the fable in Paul’s time had not yet been formulated.  Bring in Greek & Roman mythology, mix it all in and bang hey presto, we have ‘christianity’.

Although christians have a story called the ‘Gospels’ about the life and teachings of JC, christianity as it is known and practised are based on the  teachings & writings of Paul, revered by Romans and sainted. So you see to a christian it doesn’t really matter…….Living one big ‘muddle of a lie’ is acceptable and meaningful, why question it 🙂

But hey this is just what I think………..
