"O L-RD, Who are my power and my strength and my refuge in the day of trouble, to You nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, 'Only lies have our fathers handed down to us, emptiness in which there is nothing of any avail! Can a man make gods for himself, and they are no gods? 'Therefore, behold I let them know; at this time I will let them know My power and My might, and they shall know that My Name is the L-RD".
Jeremiah 16:19-21

Welcome Dear Reader,

by Dave and Yvonne Lowes-Bird

This webpage was put together to bring information easily assessable to all who are seeking Truth. We feel that by putting informative articles and  ebooks on here to peruse, it might if you’re a Christian or in any other man made religion – cause you to think …. could we have been deceived?

If each person is created in the image of God, then God’s system of belief is set up specifically and appropriately for all beings, as that is God’s will for mankind. In the case of gentiles, God created the system of Noahide laws which were created for the Gentile so that the correct and absolute understanding of the Creator remains intact – so that no misconception(s) whatsoever will occur in acquiring and maintaining this understanding of God and His laws. Any other explanation that alters this one is false.

“O L-RD, Who are my power and my strength and my refuge in the day of trouble, to You nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, ‘Only lies have our fathers handed down to us, emptiness in which there is nothing of any avail! Can a man make gods for himself, and they are no gods?  Therefore, behold I let them know; at this time I will let them know My power and My might, and they shall know that My Name is the L-RD”.

Jeremiah 16:19-21

This website also brings to you the truth revealed by G-d Almighty to all of humanity.

As humans, we are all called to G-d’s truth and wisdom. In partaking of this Divine love for us all, we are called upon by the Creator and Master of the Universe to use our free will He has so lovingly bestowed upon us to do His will as if it were our will.

In doing so, in following G-d’s commandments as revealed in public at Sinai, Jew and Gentile, we all obtain a portion in the World to Come.

Jew and Gentile, equal partners in G-d’s plan for humanity, are thus rendered in His revealed word as detailed in the Holy Torah revealed to the Jewish people on behalf of humanity at Sinai. The Holy Torah reveals to us all exactly what G-d wants us all to do.

On the one hand, the 10 commandments detail the covenant of G-d with the Jewish people detailing 613 commandments for Jews by which to bear witness to His greatness, love, existence and truth. On the other hand, the 7 Universal Laws of Noah for Gentiles.

Thus G-d’s plan for humanity unfolds before our very eyes, detailing to us all, Jew and Gentile the path of righteousness and truth that G-d wants us all to take through our own particular task which in His infinite wisdom He gave to each and every one of us, in order for the whole of humanity, as His beloved children, to partner with Him and like Him do good and perfect the world.

Together, they are peaceful partners striving to perfect the world and thereby give G-d satisfaction. By subscribing to the 7 Universal Laws of Noah, the Gentile becomes like the Jew, in that he is a member of a people whose people-hood (not just his religion) is synonymous with its relationship to G-d.

G-d has been calling out to us all since the act of creation itself. It is right and just to heed the call….

The latter part of this introduction is not written by us but found on the internet and we could not say it any clearer. These words are the words of truth.

To quote Frances a Noahide from Australia, a very dear friend of ours:

“Truth stands alone, We know it when  we see it, but we don’t always know a lie, Truth does not need propping up”

We fully appreciate that some of the articles on here you may not agree with. However we ask that any comments that you make, you refrain from profanity and insults and express your opinion openly and in a friendly way. Enjoying reading what you have written here, keep up the good work. I am sending you a private email, give me some time please, as I am still reading your website with great interest.

I love how you describe your path to the Noahide Laws, I can so relate to your pain, and the awful moment of decision when it finally sinks in that your ‘truth’ has turned to dust, and the realization that you have believed not just lies but that your whole life has been based on a lie, is probably one of the most gut wrenching things that anyone can go though. It is like suddenly finding not just ‘the rug pulled out from under you’, but the whole floor crumbling away at your feet. I am so glad that we ‘know that we “know”‘ that there is a G-d who made provision for us, even when we didn’t know Him.

Love,
Frances (Rachav)

I’m trying to find out exactly what dietary laws the Noahides follow. Is it kosher? What about dairy and meat together? Thanks

Dear Kathleen,

Thank you for your query.

Noahides do not have dietary laws – we are even able to eat pork!!

I hope that does not shock you – I personally find the Noahide laws so simple and our commands providing we acknowledge the fact that HaShem the G-d of Israel is the instigator of these laws as reiterated at Sinai, and we obey them because He commanded them and it is not an intellectual exercise – we come under great blessing and have a portion of the World to Come.

Tell me please about yourself and how did you discover our webpage? It is very nice to meet you and hope to hear from you again.

Blessings to you and yours,

Yvonne

My son is an Orthodox Jew and while I’m not ready to convert like he did, I want to be as close as possible. One of the rabbis suggested that I look into becoming a Bas No’ach. I’ve just finished reading a very good book called The Rainbow Covenant, and thought I’d look to see what online resources are available. I’d like to take some courses, but I can’t connect to Virtual Jeshiva so if you have any suggestions, please let me know. I do a weekly women’s Parsah group and just finished watching a class on Miriam on Jewish TV over at Chabad.org.

Shalom Kathy, I have sent your query to Frances in Australia she has been a Noahide for 30 years, and I think she will be able to answer your queries better then I can. She is very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend you join the Noahide group: noahides-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Good to hear from you again and every blessing,

Warmest

anything the Jews  do with dietary laws can be observed by Noahides* but it is not necessary……..as a habit, i do not eat pork on a regular basis……..i know people who do eat pork…….health is a blessing………being able to do certain things at my age is a blessing….being able to choose food wisely is a blessing………no doctors or surgeons so far…….look at http://www.herbdoc.com for insights about health…..ok, I’m done here…Kj

Shalom Kathy,

There is one rule regarding eating meat, that b’nai Noah are required to obey, it is the “prohibition of eating the limb of a living animal.” This means that b’nai Noah are not permitted to eat the ‘testicles’ of an animal because they are generally removed while the animal is still alive. Animal cruelty is totally prohibited under Noahide Law.
As with the laws of Kashrut there are certain circumstances where what is prohibited may be eaten.

Page 344 The Prohibition of Meat From a Living Animal.
“11. When there is a life-threatening situation and food is required, a Gentile may eat from meat, organs, or limbs severed from a living animal, for a Gentile is not required to sacrifice his life to uphold his Seven Commandments.

Footnote 160. Hatam Sofer Yoreh De’ah ch. 70, and Maharsha Nedarim 31b. For a Gentile, the obligation to survive a life-or-death situation is an overriding duress; see Part 1, topic 4-3.”

There are a lot more details regarding this particular prohibition in the book “The Divine Code Vol. 1″ 2nd Edition, by Rabbi Moshe Weiner. You can buy the book from Amazon.com

Shalom,
Frances (Rachav)

Hi,

First of all, allow me to say that this is not in any way to attack Noahides when in fact I have great respect for these people who finally realized the falsehood of their previous beliefs and their courage to come out of it that have sometime cost their relationship with their love ones who for others have been disgraced by their own families due to turning back from their old idolatrous traditions.

Before you continue reading, let me add that I will try to be cautious not to offend anyone but there might be comparison examples that will serve only to arouse one’s reckoning and nothing more.

Now for the downside, other than the stripped out 7 laws of Noah there is nothing really more to it like how to say the blessings, the dietary is still very much gentile like except from the prohibition of eating the limbs of a live animal, there is nothing said about modesty dressing and it’s still up to one’s personal choice, Sabbath keeping is an option if not to keep when this celebration is very important if one really wanted a taste of G-dliness keeping connected with the Creator, and whether you feel really Jewish inside you’re still a Goy who tries to be a Jew in the eyes of the more learned one. We also know that the laws of Noah were given to his time where people are all vegetarian and dietary isn’t a question and we are now in the messianic age and the 613 laws should apply if one has to follow the Torah.

Therefore I personally see it like a convenient escape from an idolatrous belief that as long as you believe in the One G-d of Israel or like Christians selling salvation in the most convenient manner that as long as you take their JC as your god then you’re in and have a portion in the world to come. Groups of Noahide born and died out just like mushrooms. Noahide is some kind of a personal choice and keeping it alive in groups is quite impossible. Why? Noahide was born from a Judaism concept but the question is who is there to nurture it to bloom and reach to its fullest potentials? None. A parent can’t just give her child apiece of something and say go forth and make for you something to eat as a child might end up in food poisoning, without proper guidance on how well to prepare the food.

I know living a full Jewish life is not at all easy but if one has truly found the truth through the Jewish way in living the Torah with G-d then why take anything less and not go straight for conversion. But then a bigger problem begins depending on one’s personal circumstances as we all know the requirement to a full orthodox conversion is not a joke.

What could be more ideal if for Noahides to have a process of progression leading into conversion to living a full Jewish life wherever he or she may be in all the corners of the world with a good supervision of an orthodox rabbi, yes a rabbi who would be dedicated to helping the Noahides reached their goals and not like now that we are on our own and has been. Though some rabbis would be kind enough to give out their inputs but that’s only that. What we need is a more supportive orthodox rabbi who would lead us achieving our goals in fulfilling a Jewish way of life through the 613 Mitzvot and nothing less.

An interesting concept – however I simply cannot agree with you – though you bring up some interesting and valid points – Noahides were never called into a complicated relationship with their Maker. Even Jews are Noahides and certainly the great patriarchs were – admitted Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were called to a very high spiritual place and after Sinai and the giving of the Torah, all you Jews are. But you guys have to teach somebody – and it is to the Jews the nations come for Truth. Had post flood mankind obeyed the laws given to Noah for all mankind – I guess the Jews would not have existed – Abraham was living in a idolatrous world – but of course Hashem in His infinite wisdom always knew that you would exist…… and as the Torah is the blue print of the world and the tree of life – somebody had to be its interrupter and its guardian. The worlds problems are not the breaking of the 613 laws it is the breaking of the 7 laws given to ALL mankind. The Torah reiterates the 7 laws, you guys have those to obey plus many more. Man is a complicated creature and can never seem to be true to our great creator he is ‘hell’ bent in bringing man under his own domain and can never just be content with the simplicity of the 7 universal laws. Life is complicated enough without all the many man made religions that exist – the agenda is always control and Christianity stands at the top of the pile for that the rest follow in pretty quick succession. Judaism however stands aloof and knowledgeable and mankind as decreed by Hashem must GO to the Jew for teaching, instruction and TRUTH.

Thank you Yvonne. A Jew is a Jew no matter what happens, even if he turns his back to his Creator and I don’t think it sounds agreeable for a Jew to be considered Noahide. It’s not really fair to speak for someone else’s behalf and the latter statement comes from the learned authority and not my own apprehension. I did not suggest in any way that Noahide complicates with its maker, what I said was, there is no or less support from its higher branch so that Noahides are guided accordingly on achieving its goal as an active contributor and having that ultimate dream come into realization the reason why we now share different views and understanding as to where we’re really heading. I respect your choice if you want to stick to the 7 laws since that was really the reason of design for Noahides but for the few who think they can do more this is the right ground stepping stone for them and there should be a stem within guided by a learned authority leading to that intention.

Dear Dave & Yvonne,
Thank you for your wonderful website which has opened my eyes in my search for the truth, and exposed the incredible lies that I have been taught to believe my entire life.
This is perhaps the most difficult thing I have ever had to deal with, as my parents, family, friends and entire community all hold to xtian beliefs; celebrate xmas, easter etc…. I live in a small country community so going against the flow will be stressful (although I have the gift of going against the flow and standing up for what I believe in, it hasn’t bothered me before what people think, because if I am passionate about what I think is ‘right’ then I don’t usually care) however, this is something that will hurt my family and that is where it gets painful – my Dad, whom I love to bits and have a lot of respect for, is elderly and is a pastor of a small church (that is held in my parents’ home), and my Mum will think I am being  possessed by the devil, or cursed or something? She will NOT like it known to all her xtian friends and extended family that their daughter has left the faith – she was so excited when I was baptized that everyone saw a photo of the event and was told of the wonderful news (much to my disgust even at the time). So I haven’t come out of the woodwork just yet, although they do know something is up!
The only thing I have ever known is to pray to JC, and everything in JC’s name!
I have two small children (they are the best!), which is also hard because this is going to confuse them so much, as they have grandparents, school & friends teaching them one thing and a mother that teaches them something else. I have pulled them out of Sunday school and left the church we were attending. I have one xtian friend whom I felt needed an answer who is trying to bring me back to the xtian faith, our discussions are continuing at this time.
I have been blessed with the most understanding and supporting husband, without him I don’t think I could do what I am about to do. He is amazing, thank you to G-d!
Your website has now lead me to other Jewish/Judaic websites, and yes, I am overwhelmed! – The knowledge and wholesome teaching of the Rabbis are astounding; I am so amazed because now I know there was something missing that didn’t know was missing before! (Does that make sense?). I also find it interesting that xtians are taught to stay away from their teaching and that they are a “brood of vipers”….I now find it quite the opposite (the other way around if you like)!!
I have a long way to go, and many changes and better lifestyle choices to be made, but I am going to do my best to make the right choices from now on, as I truly believe I have found the right path.
On a happy note, this xmas we have spent the least amount of our time, energy and money than in the past (I have always found xmas to be far too stressful), we have bought our children presents because they are only little and it would be cruel not to, but no xmas tree or halls decked in our home! What a waste of time when you could be studying Torah! J
Also, I think that although xtianity is not the truth, G-d has always had a plan for the truth to be known to all in the end – there is a reason for everything, even the biggest lie ever told maybe the one thing that brings the whole world to the truth – that is my hope! G-d bless.
Best regards,

You’ve been through so much. Change is not easy, especially when it impacts your relationship with those nearest to you. I do understand. The path that you are on, please understand that it is worth it. God and his truth are the most important thing and they are treasures worth more than a human can count.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a heartfelt message. It was an encouragement to us. You’re in our prayers and we wish you the very best. If you need help, let us know and we’ll do what we can.

Hi, thank you for your warm reply,
Thanks so much to this website and others including Jewish websites like aish.com
I am much less confused now and not angry any more. For a while I was really struggling, but much happier now. I just wish others could see the truth too! If only they would do some research because once you do and dig deep enough it all comes out in the light, plain as day!
I described my journey to my xtian friend that it was like a veil was lifted, unfortunately my friend can’t see any ‘truth’ in the literature I have tried to show her – please pray for her because there is a bit of an amazing twist, which I can’t go into details here but just maybe I could be part of something special which I think would make G-d (Hashem) smile! Well it would be nice if this journey was not just about me but in fact somebody else entirely.
G-d bless you and keep up the good work!

I’m really happy we could assist you, but we appreciated you did the hard work by actually making the change yourself. Well done! I do wish you the best with your friend. Just be understanding with her. It’s not easy to escape from christianity, but whatever you do to improve yourself and improve her life will be a merit before the God we worship. In the end, God is the main focus, but we show that main focus by helping others and doing deeds of kindness and promoting justice in our world.

God bless you too. All the best!
